When my husband comes home from a business trip abroad, he often brings t-shirts for our children. They are pretty, bright, colorful, but they usually don't survive more than a few washings and they start loosing their shape, colour or the pictures start peeling off.
T-shirts from Cape Town were an exception. The children loved them and wore them very much. Last of them has already our third child, the older children outgrew them. Colours, shape and the picture still hold.
We were so impressed with the quality and design of Kushner Clothing t-shirts that we decided to bring their merchandise to the Czech Republic. Presently you can find their products only at www.safarikids.cz.
About Kushner Clothing Ltd.
Mrs. Lorraine Kushner started to design t-shirts for a small shop in a southafrican town Oudtshoorn, which she opened as a hobby.
People were interested in her products and started coming from other towns in order to buy them. Soon other shops were open. The demand was so big that her husband sold his share in a tobacco company where he had worked and joined her. In 1972 they established Kushner Kids Production company.
They moved to Cape Town, opened new stores and later their son and daughter joined them, two out of their six children.
South Africa became a sought- after tourist destination at that time. Some customers started buying t-shirts wholesale for their own shops worldwide and so Kushner Clothing company was born.
Nowadays there is a team of designers but Mrs. Lorraine Kushner is still part of that team and brings new ideas.
Althought the company is quite big, the production is still strictly controlled by the Kushner family and quality remains the highest priority.
